Location: Austin, TX (Hybrid)
Duration: 6+ month with possible extension
Summary
The ServiceNow Integration Expert is responsible for the strategic planning, execution, and management of integrations involving the ServiceNow platform. This role requires a deep understanding of ServiceNow's capabilities, APIs, and integration methods, and involves working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless data flow and process automation across multiple systems.
Key Responsibilities
" Integration Development and Management: Design, develop, and manage integrations between ServiceNow and other enterprise systems. Ensure data consistency, reliability, and accessibility.
" Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the integration team. Mentor junior developers and ensure adherence to best practices and coding standards.
" Requirement Analysis: Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and analyze integration requirements. Translate business needs into technical specifications.
" API Management: Develop and manage APIs, web services, and other integration points to facilitate data exchange between ServiceNow and external systems.
" System Configuration: Customize and configure ServiceNow modules to support integration requirements. Implement scripts, workflows, and automation rules as needed.
" Testing and Validation: Conduct comprehensive testing of integrations to ensure functionality, performance, and security. Identify and resolve issues promptly.
" Documentation: Maintain detailed documentation of integration processes, configurations, and operational procedures. Ensure that documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
" Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for existing integrations. Troubleshoot issues and implement enhancements as required.
" Compliance and Security: Ensure that all integrations comply with relevant security standards and regulatory requirements. Implement measures to safeguard sensitive data and maintain system integrity.
" Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to ServiceNow and system integrations. Propose and implement improvements to enhance integration efficiency and effectiveness.
Qualifications
" Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
" Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years focused on ServiceNow integrations. Proven track record of successfully managing complex integration projects.
" Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ServiceNow, including knowledge of its APIs, scripting languages (JavaScript), web services (REST/SOAP), JSON, Graphical based scripting, Integration with authentication/authorization interfaces/apps, and other integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Dell Boomi).
" Analytical Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
" Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
" Project Management: Familiarity with project management/agile methodologies and tools. Experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing project timelines and deliverables.
" Certifications: Relevant certifications such as ServiceNow Certified System Administrator, ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist, Certified Application Developer are highly desirable.
" Soft Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Strong organizational skills
