Job Title: ServiceNow Engineer
Job Location: Richmond, VA 23219/ Dallas, TX 75201 (HYBRID JOB)
Job Duration: FULL TIME/ PERMANENT ROLE
Responsibilities:
• Build high-quality, clean, scalable, and reusable code in ServiceNow by enforcing best practices around software engineering architecture and processes (Code Reviews, Unit testing, etc.)
• Advise team and customers on best practices and how to implement the necessary changes to address their business needs in the ServiceNow Platform. Recommends alternatives and performs gap analysis to identify unaddressed needs.
• Lead strategic guidance initiatives and leadership to clients and leaders as it relates to the ServiceNow Platform. Key contributor in process improvement and long term technical strategic solution discussions.
• Work with the product owners to understand detailed requirements and own your code from design, implementation, test automation and delivery of high-quality product to our users.
• Work with a strong set of teams to improve developing and deploying applications and customizations
• Design software that is simple to use to allow customers to extend and customize the functionality to meet their specific needs
• Contribute to the design and implementation of new products and features while also enhancing the existing product suite
• Collaborate day-to-day with an energetic team of like-minded developers, product managers and quality engineers using agile software development methodology.
• Sustain and improve the process of knowledge sharing throughout the team.
• Perform change management using ServiceNow platform following Client change management policies and procedures for software propagation to other environments.
• May indirectly lead complex projects and participate on technical/complex projects.
• Provide project updates during Daily Standups as required.
• Assist with monitoring compliance with internal audit requirements and Information Security Manual guidelines
