Responsibilities:
- Contribute to strategic platform development based on customer needs.
- Manage and configure ServiceNow applications and modules, product development, service automation, and system integration.
- Lead or mentor junior developers on an agile, ServiceNow implementation team.
- Collaborate with teammates for code reviews, new developments, and projects.
- Participate in SCRUM ceremonies and discussions with team members and stakeholders.
- Assist with reporting configuration and maintenance, and perform operational administrative tasks.
- Assess architecture and system limitations, define and design system specifications, and evaluate hardware/software compatibility.
- Plan and manage meetings to solicit stakeholder feedback on tool models.
- Act as a liaison for support from ServiceNow when local issues arise.
- Build customized ServiceNow applications, apply technical expertise, and enhance team capabilities, security, and ROI.
- Provide and develop subject matter expertise on ServiceNow development and modules.
- Participate in internal and customer meetings to understand requirements and implement IT solutions.
- Perform full-spectrum software development lifecycle (SDLC) tasks, including systems modeling, simulation, analysis, testing, and debugging.
- Maintain professional and technical certifications.
Qualifications:
- 20+ years of technical experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant field (may substitute additional years of experience).
- Working experience with MariaDB and/or MySQL.
- Must meet DOD 8750 requirements and be eligible for IAT level II access upon hire.
- Must obtain ITIL V4 Foundation within six months of hire.
- Advanced knowledge of software engineering principles such as JavaScript, REST API, and SOAP API.
- Advanced knowledge of hardware, software, and systems associated with software engineering.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with ServiceNow development, including core ITSM tables, Glide, scripting, business rules, client scripts, data imports, custom apps, and development methods.
- Experience with Web development, including X–HTML, CSS3, SQL, XML, or Angular, and at least one back-end technology: JavaScript, PHP, .NET, Java, or ColdFusion.
- Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Discovery implementation.
- Experience with ServiceNow SERVICE PORTAL design and end-user/customer experience.
- ITILv4 Foundations certification.
- Experience with Agile development methodology, requirements management, JIRA (or similar RTM platforms).
