Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Service Writer to join our team. This role is essential in ensuring a seamless experience for our customers and effective communication between our clients and technicians. Additionally, you will play a key role in helping to grow our business by building strong customer relationships and identifying opportunities for service improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Open and close the shop as needed.
- Greet customers warmly and listen to their needs and concerns.
- Write up work orders accurately and efficiently.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to ensure work is distributed appropriately among technicians.
- Work with technicians to establish and meet repair timelines.
- Communicate clearly with customers regarding costs, procedures, issues, and timelines.
- Source and order necessary parts while maintaining gross profit.
- Answer phone calls promptly and schedule appointments.
- Maintain accurate record-keeping and cash handling procedures.
- Identify opportunities to enhance customer satisfaction and drive business growth.
- Previous experience as a Service Writer or in a similar role in the automotive industry is preferred. Any retail experience will be considered.
- Strong sales skills with a customer-focused attitude.
- Proficient in general computer skills. Experience with RO Writer and Digital Vehicle inspection software is a plus.
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
- Coachable.

- Monday to Friday schedule (7 AM - 5 PM) with weekends off.
