Blackhawk Aerospace Technologies, Inc. is a FAA Certified Repair Station located in Columbia Missouri. BAT provides full avionics and airframe services for many types of aircraft, from Cessna singles through medium size business jets.
BAT is seeking an A&P Mechanic to perform routine inspections, repairs and alterations on a variety of aircraft.
We are looking for someone with exceptional character with experience on piston or jet aircraft. Citation and/or King Air experience is extremely helpful with experience in inspections. BAT offers competitive pay and outstanding benefits.
The Service Technician III is directly responsible to the Maintenance Supervisor for the performance of the Aircraft Maintenance, Repair or Alteration.
1. Fully understand and perform all duties and requirements set forth in the Service Technician I and the Service Technician II Job Description without guidance or oversight.
2. Perform complex aircraft inspections and repairs on airframes, engines, propellers, and components with limited oversight and zero rework.
3. Be a positive role model and mentor to those individuals of lessor skill and experience in the application of safe work practices, B.A.T. policies and procedures, and acceptable/desired/expected workmanship and quality standards.
4. Always conduct oneself in a highly professional manner.
5. Communicate with internal and external customers, vendors, and staff with respect and candor.
6. Provide feedback to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or the General Manager regarding performance issues and evaluations of the Service Technicians of lesser experience and grade.
7. Understand and apply the AC 43.13 requirements without any oversight or direction when aircraft maintenance manuals fail to provide adequate information.
8. Provide project schedule updates to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or General Manager to ensure master schedule is accurate.
9. Oversee assigned projects of a more complex nature and utilize allocated manpower accordingly to ensure aircraft schedule are maintained.
10. Ensure goal hour efficiency on assigned projects and make manpower adjustments accordingly.
11. Maintain a supervisor evaluated goal hour productivity rating of 90% or higher .
12. Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
SUPPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Navigate and utilize EBis without oversight.
2. Navigate and utilize aircraft maintenance, wiring and parts manuals

4. Conduct oneself in a highly professional manner.
5. Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment, and tooling when required to support operations.
6. Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components when designated.
7. Assist in the maintenance and periodic calibration of precision tools and test equipment used by the repair station when designated.
8. Adhere to aircraft schedules and shop schedules prior to and during the performance of all repair station functions.
COORDINATING AND COMMUNICATING RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Communicate on status and or discrepancies with aircraft in house to include hidden damage or unairworthy items.
2. Make proper entries into maintenance logs & work orders.
3. Attend department or company meetings and provide various updates as required.
Education and Experience
1. High school graduate or equivalency degree required. Airframe and Powerplant FAA license Required. Inspector Authorization Preferred.
2. Thorough Knowledge of FARs 43, 91, 135, 145 with Quality system experience preferred.
3. Five to Ten Years Corporate Aviation Experience with emphasis on Inspection & Repair preferred.
4. Minimum of Four years Aviation experience on Turbine Powered part 23 and part 25 aircraft required.

Pay: $29.00 - $38.00 per hour
