SunWest Engineering Constructors, Inc. is seeking a skilled and reliable Service Technician to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to perform repair, maintenance, and testing services at various facilities to confirm compliance with Local, State, and Federal regulations. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, customer-focused, and dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of service while upholding safety and regulatory compliance.

- Perform repairs, maintenance, and testing services at client facilities to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Sign in at facilities and check in with site personnel before beginning work.
- Follow regulatory and company protocols for performing all tasks, including thorough visual inspections of fuel systems and related areas.
- Use company-provided software to document inspections, repairs, and testing results, leaving detailed reports on-site for client records.
- Maintain proper inventory of tools and materials, ensuring all necessary supplies are available for service calls.
- Communicate effectively with clients, ensuring their facilities meet all safety and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain clean and organized workspaces at client locations and adhere to safety and site-specific protocols.
- Take before-and-after digital images of all repairs for documentation.
- Arrive at service locations at scheduled times and notify the office of any delays.
- Provide thorough and clear service reports to clients, reviewing findings and suggesting repairs before leaving the site.
- Respond promptly to office requests for additional reports or clarifications.
- Education:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Will be required to pass and maintain various state certifications and petroleum material manufacturer exams.
- One or more of the following certifications are required:
- ICC UT- CA Service Technician
- ICC UC- CA Designated Operator
- ICC VI- Vapor Recovery Installation & Repair
- ICC U1- UST Installation & Retrofitting
- ICC U2- UST Decommissioning
- ICC U4- UST Cathodic Protection
- Experience:
- Experience in petroleum service or similar industries preferred
- Skills & Knowledge:
- General math skills and familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe.
- Proficiency with mobile technologies and an ability to learn new computer programs quickly.
- Strong communication skills (both verbal and written) in English.
- In-depth knowledge of petroleum construction, service principles, and testing methodologies.
- Strong understanding of regulations, facility operations, and safety protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving and project coordination skills.
- Field environment requires standing, walking, driving, and occasional heavy lifting (up to 80 lbs).
- May be exposed to extreme weather, uneven surfaces, dust, loud noises, and petroleum products.
- Requires long periods of driving in diverse weather conditions.
