Peak Alarm, a Pye-Barker company, is currently hiring for a Service Technicianin our Boise, ID branch.
Position Summary: The Service Technician position is for dedicated individuals seeking growth within the fire & security industry. The ideal candidate will be a responsible, self-starter capable of conducting routine installations, provide servicing, and inspection of fire alarms, security systems and associated equipment.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Installation, service, and inspection of fire alarms, fire systems, access control, & CCTV systems.
- System testing and inspecting to the prescribed standards
- Provide on-site emergency troubleshooting and repairs of customers security equipment
- Preparing accurate and timely service tickets and reports
- Ensuring a high level of customer service, satisfaction, and communication
- Maintains a clean and safe work environment on and off site
- Interface successfully with Administration, Sales, Customers, and Management within the company
- Perform other duties as assigned
Education & Required Skills:
- High School Diploma/GEDrequired
- Ability to install, inspect, or service security and fire alarms
- Minimum of 1-year experience in the life safety industry
- Exemplary customer service skills to deal with both internal and external customers
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
- Must have clean driving record and a valid Driver's License
- Must read and speak English
