POSITION SUMMARY
The Specialty Shop Supervisor position oversee the Specialty Shop by working with all aspects of the Specialty Shop department from customer contact to managing the day-to-day operations.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Directly supervise employees in the Specialization Shop department. Supervisory will carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies, procedures and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interview, hiring and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising, performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
DUTIES
- Work with customers on need repairs of their equipment.
- Coordinate daily shop operations and work assignments.
- Communicate with customers on the status of work in process.
- Provided technical support as required
- Monitor and work with Product Support Representatives on job quotes ensuring all parts and labor are included on the quote.
- Work with Technical Communicator with any technical issues and/or program while assisting with any manufacturer questions.
- Assist Service Manager with all large repair estimates while including all variables.
- Work with Service Manager:
- On motivating employees
- Increasing efficiencies by evaluating work practices,
- Meeting and exceeding safety goals and safety incentive program,
- Strategy planning and present information as needed in monthly meetings.
- Adopt the Company’s philosophy Customer Satisfaction
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write service reports.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and/or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have a valid California driver’s license class C or higher and a clear DMV driving record.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Employee will regularly work near moving mechanical parts and occasionally work in outside weather conditions and exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
