Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, optimizing profitability, and cultivating a high-performing team. This position is pivotal in ensuring customer satisfaction and fostering long-term relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership:
Recruit, train, and mentor service advisors, technicians, and support staff.
Foster a collaborative and customer-centric work culture.
Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and development plans.
Customer Service:
Ensure a superior customer experience by addressing concerns promptly and professionally.
Develop strategies to enhance customer retention and satisfaction.
Maintain high Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) scores.
Operational Management:
Oversee daily operations, including scheduling, workflow management, and equipment maintenance.
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure efficiency and profitability.
Implement and maintain dealership and manufacturer service policies and procedures.
Financial Performance:
Develop and manage the department budget, ensuring profitability and cost control.
Review repair orders and service invoices for accuracy and compliance.
Identify opportunities for revenue growth through up-selling and promotions.
Compliance & Safety:
Ensure adherence to all federal, state, and local regulations.
Maintain a safe and organized work environment for employees and customers.
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Service Manager or similar role in the automotive industry.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Exceptional customer service and interpersonal abilities.
In-depth knowledge of automotive repair processes and dealership operations.
Proficiency in service management software and tools.
Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
