About the Job
Summary/objective
As a Service Manager, you are responsible for the health of your department. Which includes but not limited to managing a team of both field and in-house service technicians. Communicating with customers and the sales staff in regards to services being performed.

- Directs overall service department operations.
- Displays broad knowledge of industry standards and practices, including product details and company services provided.
- Assists technicians in diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment.
- Exhibits professional behavior that promotes teamwork, fosters cooperation and collaboration, and enhances productivity in the workplace in a time-conscious and efficient manner.
- Closely manages the work in progress including closing work orders, certifying warranty processes are followed, complete service bulletins, and ensuring all other key areas of work order management are kept up to date.
- Oversees and controls departments tools and support equipment.
- Communicates with customers and sales staff on the status of services being performed and address/resolve related concerns.
- Conducts weekly safety meetings and ensures compliance with OSHA and MSHA rules, regulations, standards, and all company safety policies.
- Manage daily use of time clock.
- Assists staff in solving work problems.
- Provide guidance to service4 team, gather information and communicate company strategy and policy.

Physical demands
This job requires the employee to sit, stand, kneel, climb, and lift 50 lbs.
Travel required
About 20% travel; As service manager, the employee will need to visit customer locations.
Required education and experience
- Minimum of 5 years in the aggregate processing/heavy equipment industry
- Minimum of 5 years of management experience
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Needs strong computer skills and proficiency with such programs as NetSuite and Service Pro.
Additional eligibility requirements
Must be able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screening.
