You will be responsible for managing and directing all aspects of our fire protection service department, ensuring that our projects meet the highest standards of safety and quality. NICET II or III in fire alarms is a huge plus for this role.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the fire protection service department, ensuring efficient and effective service delivery.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance productivity, quality, and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, NFPA standards, and other relevant regulations.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure that all fire protection systems are in optimal condition and meet all safety standards.
- Coordinate with other departments, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage the department's P&L, developing budgets, monitoring expenses, and implementing cost-saving measures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to the team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Keep abreast of the latest trends and developments in the fire protection field, implementing necessary changes to keep our services up-to-date.
- Handle customer complaints and issues, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
- Train and mentor new team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, you should have:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in the fire protection field, preferably in the construction industry.
- Profound knowledge of NFPA standards, building codes, and fire alarm system design.
- Proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role, with strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to handle customer complaints effectively and professionally.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with team members, clients, and contractors.
- Proficiency in managing P&L, with strong financial management and budgeting skills.
- A commitment to continuous learning and improvement, with the ability to adapt to changes in the industry.
- A degree in a relevant field is preferred but not required.
