Job Summary:
We are looking for a Service Logistics Specialist to support Supermicro Global Service network by managing parts inventory globally. The candidate is expected to ensure that the right parts/equipment is are stoked, manage the inventory, and monitor defective returns to Supermicro®.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Includes the following essential duties and responsibilities (other duties may also be assigned):
• Go onsite to various locations to reconcile inventory and submit RMA
• Work to ensure defective parts are returned
• Stocking FSL and monitoring inventory level and accuracy
• Work with 3PL to ensure parts are dispatched in accordance with SLA
• Handle reverse logistics for Service customers
• Track all return items and proactively pursue non-returned items.
• Make order entries and work with accounting in processing the parts transfer
• Work with various internal teams including accounting, shipping, and RMA to track and monitor the stock at all the service inventory locations and reconcile any discrepancies
• Follow up with external and internal parties on outstanding parts
• Work with various internal product managers to understand the equipment configurations related to service and be able to detect errors
• Work with IT, ACCT, and RMA for needed reports and inventory reconciliation
• Keep internal database up to date for service inventory management
• Escalate any service inventory issue outside control to the appropriate TAM
• Manage time effectively and be able to prioritize while meeting daily service expectations
Qualifications:
• Must be willing to travel 70% of the time
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 2 years experience from high-tech manufacturing industry preferred
• Proficiency in MS Office and database management
• Knowledge of inventory management and logistics elements
• Travel will be required
• Must be punctual and detail-oriented
• Good time management
• Work logically and systematically
• Ability to solve problems and make decisions as necessary
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Experience in the IT industry is a plus
Salary Range
$68,000 - $98,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
