Akkodis is seeking a Service Desk Technician for a contract role with a client located in El Segundo, CA (Hybrid)
Pay Rate: $23.50/hr.
Location: El Segundo, CA (Hybrid)
Required Skills:
We are seeking a customer-focused IT Support Specialist to join our team. This role is ideal for a technical professional with strong troubleshooting skills and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. You will be the first point of contact for phone-based technical support, assisting with password resets, email setups, and troubleshooting various IT issues. While experience in financial environments is not required, a background in customer service is highly preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide first-line technical support over the phone, addressing user inquiries and resolving issues efficiently.
- Handle password resets, email setup configurations, and basic system troubleshooting.
- Assist users with hardware and software issues, escalating complex problems as necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation of issues and resolutions within the ticketing system.
- Deliver exceptional customer service, maintaining professionalism and empathy in all interactions.
- Collaborate with team members to enhance support processes and identify recurring issues for long-term solutions.
- Maintain a strong understanding of company systems, applications, and IT policies.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a customer-facing IT support role.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot common IT issues.
- Familiarity with email configurations, password management, and basic networking concepts.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- High level of organization and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Customer service background is highly preferred; experience in a technical or financial environment is a plus.
