Job Details
We are seeking an IT Service Desk Manager to join our growing infrastructure team. The Service Desk Manager is responsible for managing and resolving system incidents and ensuring the stability and reliability of IT and DevOps environments
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee the daily operations of the Service Desk, ensuring a high level of customer service and user satisfaction.
2. Implement, manage and maintain IT service management tools such as DataDog, Splunk, Atlassian, JSM, Jira, and/or Confluence.
3. Develop and enforce request handling and escalation policies and procedures.
4. Lead the team in identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving system and network issues.
5. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to increase efficiency and improve performance.
6. Leverage scripting and automation skills to streamline processes and workflows.
7. Conduct root cause analysis for major incidents and develop strategies for prevention.
8. Coordinate with IT and DevOps teams to diagnose and troubleshoot complex system issues.9. Provide training and mentorship to Service Desk staff and foster a positive work environment.
9. Prepare and present regular performance reports for senior management.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Service Desk Manager role or similar.
3. Proven experience with IT service management tools such as DataDog, Splunk, Atlassian, JSM, Jira, and/or Confluence.
4. Strong knowledge of scripting and automation techniques using Python, Bash, PowerShell, or similar
5. Solid understanding of ITIL principles and practices.
6. ITIL certification is a plus.
