Description:
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and supervise pickup, delivery, repair, and installation of equipment in patient homes or care facilities;
- Provide instruction and demonstration to patients, caregivers, and family members on the safe use and maintenance of equipment;
- Perform routine equipment maintenance checks and service repairs to ensure equipment is functioning properly;
- Pick up, clean/disinfect, and repair medical equipment after use and prepare it for future patient use;
- Complete and maintain accurate delivery and service records, ensuring all documentation is up to date and compliant with company policies;
- Conduct in-home assessments to determine appropriate equipment, and modifications necessary to meet patient needs;
- Manage inventory of medical equipment and supplies, including ordering, receiving, and restocking items as necessary;
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment, including the service vehicle, by following proper handling and transportation protocols;
- Maintain communications with patients and caregivers and document in patient file;
- Installation of accessibility equipment including vehicle and stair lifts;
- Utilize company software and technology tools to track equipment status, delivery schedules, and service calls;
- Attend training sessions and participate in continuing education as directed;
- Other duties as assigned;
- Report regularly to Branch Manager on status of repairs, deliveries & flow of the service department
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Reliability, punctuality and perfect attendance (not withstanding sick days).
- Ability to supervise other employees while also doing your job
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- High school diploma or equivalent Trade School Education helpful
- Ability to maneuver heavy equipment weighing up to 300lbs and lift up to 75lbs
- Previous experience in delivery, installation, and servicing of medical equipment preferred
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
- Excellent communication skills a must with co-workers, patients and caregivers.
- Availability to work Saturdays (on rotation)
- Familiarity with geographic area and ability to read maps/GPS for efficient routing
- Commitment to maintain patient confidentiality (HIPAA compliance)
- Competence using computers and related technology
- Must be willing to work with all consumers regardless of age, gender, sexual orientation, and/or disabilities
