Server @ Waterfront Restaurant - Waterstone Resort & Marina - Schulte Companies

Waterstone Resort & Marina, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Restaurant Server to join our team! Our resort is on the Boca Inlet overlooking the Boca Bay. Our outdoor restaurant, Sea Spray is a local & visitor favorite which has been reinvented with new food & cocktail menus. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Seat and take accurate food orders from guests

* Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that food is properly prepared and nicely presented and/or the buffet is appealing.

* Check station before, during and after shift for proper set-up and cleanliness.

* Must be familiar with all menu items, their preparation and service procedure.

* Total checks, present to guests and accept payment.

* Assist with bussing tables

* Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor regulations pertaining to serving alcoholic beverage to minors and intoxicated guests.

* Perform various other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

* Minimum of High School education, post-high school education preferred

* Minimum of one (1) year in hotel/restaurant serving role

* Food Handler & Alcohol Awareness Certification preferred, or able to obtain

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

* Ability to communicate effectively verbally

* Team player

* Ability to exceed expectations of guests and team members

* Ability to multi-task

* Ability to work flexible hours and shifts - nights, weekends and holidays are required

* Knowledge of alcohol serving practices and standards

* Must have basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation, service standards, guest relations and etiquette

Physical Requirements:

* Prolonged periods of standing and walking.

* Must be able to lift, balance, and carry trays of food weighing up to 25 pounds.
