Comfortably situated on scenic Riverfront Park, Liberty Common takes its culinary cues from the country dishes of the classic French bistro, and enriches them with Southern influences passed down over many generations. Liberty Common represents a new kind of Southern cuisine that highlights a contemporary French aesthetic. Liberty Common is located directly across from the Ascend Amphitheater and just a short walk from Music City Center. We feature an all day menu of brunch specialties such as fried chicken & waffles, country egg plates, our unique take on the Croque Madame (Waffle Madame), and house-baked breads & pastries. Our heralded dinner service boasts everything from filets, oysters, charcuterie, fried chicken, and locally sourced trout and grits. When the weather is right, we invite you to sit on our charming Parisian-style cafe patio for people watching, a show, or some of the best scenery available downtown.

You’ll be the face of our restaurant and responsible for our customers’ experiences. You need to be quick on your feet (literally and metaphorically) and have a polite and friendly attitude. If you enjoy talking to people and thrive in a fast-paced workplace, we’d like to meet you. Your ultimate goal will be to provide high-quality service that will help us maintain and attract customers.

Job Duties

- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order

- Attend to customers upon entrance

- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages

- Take and serve orders

- Answer questions or make recommendations for complementary products

- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff

- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

- Issue bills and accept payment
