Solstice Senior Living at Guilford is looking to hire Weekend Wait Staff to join our Culinary Services Team. The ideal candidate believes in showing up on time for work, providing other employees with assistance as needed and following all sanitary and health-related protocols. Plus, if you have a love for seniors and a passion for providing an Elevated dining experience for our residents, we want to speak with you!  

We currently have the following shifts available: 

·        Saturdays: Afternoon/Evening Shift (12:15p-7:30p)

·        Sundays: Afternoon/Evening Shift (12:15p-7:30p)

Job Duties

- Prepare Dining Room with special attention to sanitation

- Attend to resident requests

- Present daily menus and help residents select food & beverages

- Answer questions or make recommendations

 - Take and serve orders

- Collaborate with other servers and kitchen staff

- Deal with complaints or problems with a positive attitude

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and abilities: 

 - Prior experience working in Senior Living or Restaurant Style dining preferred

- Excellent communication skills

 - Strong ability to multi-task

 - Ability to remain calm and on-task during stressful situations

- Responsibility to serve food in a friendly, courteous manner and helpful attitude.

 - Perform a variety of duties in and around the dining area

- Ability to successfully complete all state required background checks and drug screen

Work Experience Qualifications

- 1 year of Wait Staff experience preferred

- Ability to read, write, and speak English language

Educational Qualifications 

- A High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred
