WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
POSITION SUMMARY:
At Le Moyne’s Chophouse, the Server Assistant provides prompt and accommodating service to our guests. The Server Assistant must anticipate both server and guest needs, deliver an elevated level of service, and be prepared to act as a team player.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide a positive and friendly guest experience

Assist servers to consistently deliver a quality experience for guests
-
Prepare food stations and maintain organized and clean guest tables
-
Ensure all food safety guidelines are adhered to at all times
-
Serve food and drink to guests at the direction of the server
-
Assist servers with refilling beverages and water, resetting & bussing tables.
-
Abide by all company and state guidelines regarding food handling and the sales and service of alcoholic beverages
-
Clear, clean, and reset tables in preparation for arriving guests
-
Perform side work for opening, during shift, and closing as appropriate.

Act as a connection between front of house and back of house when necessary
-
Handle guest concerns and complaints, notifying server and management when necessary
-
Update Host on the status of tables throughout the shift.

Assist the waitstaff with any additional tasks as required
-
Maintain regular and punctual on-site attendance with the ability to work a flexible schedule which may include days, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business requires
-
All other duties as assigned by the Restaurant Manager or any other member of management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
No supervision required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
-
Hospitality experience preferred
-
Previous experience in and knowledge of restaurant operations and industry standards is a plus.

Prior guest relations training
-
Proper food safety training and certification as described by law
-
Experience working with computers (MS Office/Google) POS (Micros, Aloha, etc.) and reservation software (Open Table, Resy, etc.)

Commitment to guest satisfaction and service excellence

Must be able to speak English to communicate with guests. Must be able to recognize situations which may involve guests that require immediate supervisory attention. Must know and use reasonable care for the safety and security of the guests.

Ability to perform assigned duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy, follow-through, courtesy, cooperativeness and work with minimum supervision

Physical & Mental Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age;

Must be able to lift 50lbs;

Ability to bend, kneel, squat;

Ability to stand/walk for an 8 hour shift

Ensure various physical movements throughout the work areas, such as reaching, extending arms over head, bending and stooping are performed safely

Frequently required to use hands and arms to reach and handle. Frequently required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch.

Ability to push and pull, lift and carry up to 30lbs
-
Ability to push and pull vacuum cleaners as well as wheeled carts weighing up to 30 pounds
Work Environment:

LeMoyne’s is a sixty seat dinner-only restaurant with a bar. Will occasionally work in other areas of the property including other restaurant/banquet outlets, storage areas, kitchens, and guest areas.

The work environment includes high guest contact; may involve varying conditions and circumstances with guests, staff, visitors, etc.
