HERE IS WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR ON JOB PERFORMANCE:
Perform regular maintenance and inspection of septic systems and assessing the condition of the tanks and all components.
Repair or replace septic tank components, such as pipes, valves, pumps, and filters, to ensure proper functioning.
Install new septic systems, including excavating, laying pipes, and connecting tanks and drainage fields, adhering to local regulations and permits.
Conduct septic system inspections, diagnose issues, and recommend appropriate solutions for troubleshooting problems.
Keep accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and installations performed, providing documentation for clients and regulatory authorities.
Adhere to health and safety regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment and proper handling and disposal of waste materials.
Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and advancements in septic system technology to continuously improve knowledge and skills.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Strong knowledge of septic system components and operation, including tanks, pipes, pumps, filters, and drainage fields.
Proficiency in plumbing techniques and tools for repair and installation of septic system components.
Ability to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair septic system issues efficiently and effectively.
Familiarity with local regulations, codes, and permits related to septic system maintenance and installation.
Excellent communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and regulatory authorities.
Attention to detail to accurately record maintenance, repair, and installation activities.
Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor, such as excavating, lifting heavy equipment, and working in outdoor environments.
Problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to assess septic system issues.
Commitment to safety protocols, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Have 3 plus years experience in service and repair of septic systems.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification or license in plumbing, wastewater management, or a related field is preferred.
Experience operating a mini excavator, using high tech drain cameras and locators, jetting machines, and drain snaking machines.
Proven experience in septic system maintenance, repair, and installation.
Knowledge of local and state regulations regarding septic system maintenance and installation.
Ability to operate and maintain equipment and tools related to septic system servicing.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Willingness to learn and stay updated on industry trends and advancements in septic system technology.
Have a clean driving record.
Be able to lift up to 80 pounds.
Have the ability to work with Inspectors, Suppliers, and Technicians to get the job completed correctly and in the best interest of the customer while abiding by all regulations.
The ability to read maps or mapping systems proficiently.
Aware of personal safety and respect for dangers at all times, while executing a dig operation.
Be cognizant of customer safety and adjacent property rights.
Must have strong communication skills and represent yourself in a professional manner.
Be capable of building relationships with customers.
