Job Overview
We’re growing! DiD is looking for a Senior Writer with significant agency and healthcare/pharma advertising experience to join our expanding team. In this role, you'll partner with Art Directors and other team members for creative concept development and execution of initiatives that support the brands of various pharmaceutical and healthcare clients. Responsibilities:Responsibilities include…
- Writing content outlines; creative concepts; video scripts; print and digital sales aids; digital ad campaigns; CRM and rep-triggered emails; rich media units, static and animated programmatic banner ads, static and video social ads; patient brochures and counseling tools; web sites; research summaries; and presentation decks
- Writing in a tone and style appropriate to each brand and target audience (including healthcare professionals, consumers, and sales representatives)
- Actively working with internal team members to ensure that creative briefs are clear, targeted, and actionable
- Independently researching client products, services, and industry to inform content and strategy
- Effectively presenting work to clients on behalf of the agency
- Providing correctly formatted references for all medical claims in professional-facing content
- Interpreting clinical studies and references; writing medical claims in a way that is consistent with legal/regulatory guidance while remaining relevant to the target audience
- Annotating copy documents in preparation for submission to legal review boards
- Reviewing documents for accuracy, style consistency, punctuation, and references; exhibiting strong attention to detail
- Understanding and following AMA style guidelines
- Managing multiple projects, allocating time independently, prioritizing work, and allocating resources as needed throughout project execution
- Adhering to project scope, budget, and timeline, while delivering high quality work
- Mentoring junior writers; vetting freelance writing resources and reviewing their work
- 5-8 years working in an agency in a creative copy position
- Experience with pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or healthcare industries (with samples to show)
- Experience writing in accordance with medical/legal considerations, and preparing submissions for legal review
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Proven ability to develop compelling concepts and copy for healthcare professionals (additional patient or consumer experience is a plus)
- Exceptional portfolio, containing original concepts that are fully executed
- Demonstrated ability to work with a team as well as independently
- Demonstrated initiative as a self-starter
