GDIT is seeking a Senior Windows Systems/Server Administrator to help maintain an enterprise level product suite by supporting our FMTS contract in Alexandria, VA. This position requires the employee to report full-time, onsite.
HOW A SENIOR WINDOW SYSTEMS/SERVER ADMINISTRATOR WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:
Monitor system performance on an ERP (PeopleSoft HCM) application to ensure that all systems are running optimally on multiple servers and environments. Use performance metrics to identify potential bottlenecks and areas for improvement.
Responsible for identifying and resolving system issues, software bugs, and network connectivity problems.
Create and manage user accounts and access permissions for various systems and applications.
Ensure that all systems are secure by implementing security policies, monitoring for potential security breaches, and responding to security incidents.
Manage the configuration and operation of on-premises and cloud-based including provisioning and configuring cloud services, monitoring performance, and ensuring security.
Research event-log warnings and errors; and monitor resources to ensure that systems architecture components work together seamlessly.
Document all system configurations, procedures, and policies to ensure that the application is maintained and managed effectively.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define business requirements and objectives for ERP projects.
Understanding of custom reports using system software.
Perform system back up, disaster recovery and ensure system uptime/availability.
Provide training to end-users on ERP system functionality, best practices, and new features.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED - REQUIRED:
· Security Clearance:
o Possess a current DoD SECRET clearance
o Maintains T5 Security Background Investigation, in order to obtain IT Level I access.
· Certifications:
o CompTIA Security+ CE
o CompTIA Server+
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree
· Experience: 10+ years of Windows System Administration experience
· Technical Skills:
o Demonstrated Systems Administration experience with Windows Server Administration
o Maintain Windows servers, per DoD compliance, to include: Cyber Hardening, Cyber Compliance, Patch Management, Configuration Management, and Release Management
o Cloud experience
· Skills & Abilities:
o General knowledge of ERP applications and how they work for functional areas.
o Ability to speak both business process and technical process based on the audience that you are addressing, supporting, or working with.
o Demonstrated ability to work with Program Manager and team members to discover, document, design and implement business processes in an ERP application platform.
o Basic Project Management skills that demonstrate your ability to build, manage and execute upon a plan – both in terms of self-management as well as working with a team.
o Mainly sedentary; in an office environment
o May be required to lift up to ten (10) pounds.
· Location: Alexandria, VA. Willing to travel occasionally as needed (up to 10%).
· Work Schedule: 9am-5pm EST. Occasional nights/weekends, when required.

The likely salary range for this position is $100,175 - $135,531. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
