The 711th Human Performance Wing, United States Air Force School of Aerospace Medicine's (USAFSAM) is an internationally renowned center for aerospace medical learning, consultation, aerospace medical investigations and aircrew health assessments. Description of Services:
The purpose of this position is to acquire a professional Senior Windows System Admin, highly skilled and experienced in networking and Windows Architecture Systems Development to support the USAFSAM mission, and to perform all assigned tasks including outlined essential task requirements listed in this job description taken directly from the government’s Performance Work Statement (PWS). The purpose of this effort is for the Senior Windows System Admin Contractor to assist in formulating, defining, and directing system support. Knowledge of Operating Systems (OS), application software packages, scientific equipment to computer connectivity, Local Area Network (LAN) concepts and topologies, and associated standards are needed. Contractor employee shall identify and resolve computer system related issues occurring within the assigned area of responsibility. Contractor employee will provide consultation, advice, opinions, analyses, evaluations, recommendations, and technical and administrative support for selected USAFSAM activities. Duties include network configuration and security, server configuration and security, software installation/configuration and support, database administration and workflow support tools. Support of the Certification & Accreditation (C&A) process as assigned and required by DoD and USAF mandates is required. Current knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework ATO accreditation process preferred.
Mandatory Qualifications:
· Possess experience working with and designing network topologies.
· 4 years of comprehensive knowledge and experience in Windows network and server management.
· Possess the ability to work with Windows, Power Automate, Python, SQL, Perl scripting, Power Shell.
· Demonstrated experience in managing network systems to ensure hardware and software are functioning and operational standards are met.
· Demonstrated experience supporting workflow processes with Power Automate.
· B.S. in a Computer-related field of study from an accredited institution.
· 4 or more years of relevant work experience.
· Ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance is required.
· Because of the nature of this position in working in Management Operations and dealing with various Personnel related issues, the Contractor must have a Non-Disclosure Agreement in place with their company, and the company must provide a copy to the Program Manager of this task order. This is necessary in order to mitigate transfer of any confidential, proprietary and/or sensitive information while in this position.
Highly Desired Qualifications:
· Current knowledge of DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF) Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP).
· Advance degrees preferred.
· Official certifications and accreditation training awards will be considered.
· Preferred Certs: CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, CompTIA Server+
Tasks:
The Senior Computer Systems Admin Contractor will perform tasks as directed to include the following:
· The contractor employee shall be able to understand and work within existing network and security standards applicable to the USAFSAM mission.
· The contractor employee shall assist with the installation, configuration, testing and troubleshooting of hardware and software in support of the DoD and AFRL Risk Management Framework accreditation process.
· The contractor employee shall work with Windows, OSX environments. Preferred candidate will have extensive network OS knowledge in Windows Server 2012R2, 2016, 2019, etc.
· Contractor employee shall work and apply network and security standards and apply network best practices. Experience in switch configurations, VLANs, trunking, and network design is crucial.
· The contractor employee shall review and update documentation for the existing architecture.
· The contractor employee shall review current system architecture to report on system design to include reliability, redundancy, performance, scalability and identify if “best practices” are being followed.
· The contractor employee shall identify system enhancements to allow for greater redundancy and system testing.
· Contractor shall provide support in development and maintenance of work flow processes through the use of Power Automate and other integrated technologies.
· Contractor shall provide support in other duties as assigned.
Work Location:
Work will be accomplished at Wright-Patterson AFB 45433, although temporary alternate work locations may be assigned as circumstances dictate by the government.
Work Schedule:
Contractor must be available from 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Monday -Friday, except Federal holidays, unless otherwise stipulated by 711 HPW/USAFSAM. Unless approved by the government or Technical Advisor, normal duty schedules will be 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (8 hours per day with a 1-hour lunch break). There may be times when it is necessary for the contractor to work before or after normal duty hours in support of specific tasks. Although the schedule may have to be flexible, it will not exceed 40 hours per week, per contract employee.
Travel:
No travel is anticipated for this effort.
U.S. Citizenship:
Employee must be a U.S. citizen. For the purpose of base and network access, possession of a permanent resident card (“Green Card”) does not equate to U.S. citizenship.
SECURITY REQUIREMENTS:
Individual SECRET Clearances – IAW DD Form 254
Contractors shall possess a U.S. security clearance at the minimum level of SECRET for all contractor personnel required to have access to classified information or require IT-II level access. Onsite contractor personnel must have an active clearance prior to reporting for duty in support of any requirement. Interim clearances for newly hired personnel shall be processed as expeditiously as possible since some contractor personnel will be required to utilize the SIPRNET and process classified materials/data. Such clearance must be obtained through the Defense Investigative Services. Identical contract security requirements are specified in the DD Form 254 for the Basic IDIQ Contract
