The Senior Web Portal Developer is a crucial role in providing operational and maintenance (O&M) support for existing SharePoint portals and developing new portal customizations, web parts, and applications on Microsoft SharePoint 2016 or higher, including SharePoint Online. This role encompasses creating software development project plans and ensuring the portals meet operational standards and security requirements.
Responsibilities
+ Key responsibilities include providing portal help desk support, documenting all maintenance actions, and addressing operational issues within the portals using DoD information security and coding standards. The developer will assess O&M requests from users, estimating the level of effort and risk involved, and develop detailed project plans using MS Project for new portal or web part development.
+ The role requires developing, scripting, and coding for both maintenance actions and new customizations, adhering to stringent DoD security requirements and work center coding standards. The developer will also create user and configuration manuals for new portal customizations or web parts, using government templates and work center standards.
+ Additionally, the Senior Web Portal Developer is responsible for producing portal training materials and training aids, maintaining version control for all code and scripts, and providing monthly status reports to the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR)-appointed Technical Assistant (TA). These reports detail project progress, support incidents, and any issues requiring government action, ensuring transparency and accountability in all development activities.
Qualifications
+ Active SECRET clearance.
+ IAW DoD 8570.01-M, must meet IAT II minimum qualifications.
+ Must possess ONE of the following 8570 IAT-II certifications:
+ CCNA Security.
+ CySA+ (Cybersecurity Analyst).
+ GICSP (Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional).
+ GSEC (GIAC Security Essentials Certification).
+ Security+ CE.
+ SSCP (Systems Security Certified Practitioner).
+ Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
+ Minimum 4 years of work experience developing Microsoft SharePoint portal solutions and customizations including proficiency with the Microsoft Power Platform and SPFx development.
+ Experience using Microsoft Office 365 tools (Project, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). Microsoft Project will be the main tool for tracking projects. Microsoft SharePoint is recommended for keeping all project related documents to share with team members and leadership.
