Position Summary:
The Senior Web Developer develops rich, interactive user experiences across desktop and mobile platforms. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the latest in HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript, working in a fast-paced and collaborative environment, and will be driven to help push web development initiatives.
Position responsibilities:
Take an active role in the development projects for the website, both large and small, throughout the various phases of the project life cycle. Assess new initiatives to determine the work effort and estimate the necessary time-to-completion.
Development with cross-browser/cross-device compatibility in a graded browser support environment.
Document new development, procedures or test plans as needed.
Participate in Web data builds and deployment efforts.
Working knowledge of .NET and an understanding of classes and inheritance as well as the principles of code-reuse in object-oriented programming.
Working in an Agile development cycle using advanced Scrum methodologies.
Essential skills, knowledge and abilities:
6+ years' expertise writing semantic HTML5/HTML and CSS3/CSS.
6+ years' expertise writing clean, unobtrusive JavaScript/AJAX including experience with common libraries (jQuery, Angular, Bootstrap, etc.) and debugging tools (Firebug, Fiddler, etc.).
Expertise with LESS and/or SASS CSS preprocessors.
Expertise with Bootstrap and Adaptive/Responsive development techniques.
Experience with single page application (SPA) and mobile development.
Experience with object-oriented coding; version/source control, bug tracking, and workflow applications/tools.
Experience with HTML5 APIs (like canvas, local storage, etc.)
Knowledge of current trends and best practices in front-end architecture, including performance, accessibility and usability.
Familiarity and comfort with command-line applications and task runners (like Grunt/Gulp).
Solid problem solving, technical troubleshooting, and decision-making skills, as well as excellent communication, initiative and teamwork.
Non-essential skills, knowledge and abilities:
Experience working with ASP.NET MVC4 Razor

Effectively gives and receives information, ideas and opinions in verbal, written and electronic communication.
