The Senior Warehouse Lead will work closely with the Supervisor and the General Manager to ensure smooth operations while actively seeking ways to elevate the team to the next level!
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in a warehouse role, including managing hourly employees.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support a team, ensuring goals and tasks are completed efficiently and on time.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster a collaborative team environment.
- Passion for process improvement and a proactive mindset to identify and implement enhancements in daily operations.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) for inventory tracking and operational optimization.
- Familiarity with warehouse software packages and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competence in operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, hydraulic jacks, and barcode scanning tools.
- Dependable attendance with flexibility to occasionally exceed 40 hours per week when needed.
Responsibilities
- Manage and support daily operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and returns processing.
- Participate in day-to-day warehouse tasks alongside the team to ensure smooth operations.
- Train, coach, and supervise the warehouse team to address daily challenges and achieve performance goals.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and drive initiatives to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and safety.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe warehouse environment by adhering to and enforcing standards and legal compliance.
- Support the Warehouse Supervisor in administrative tasks and take the lead on operational decisions in their absence.
