Overview:
The Senior Vice President will be a collaborative, highly driven individual, capable of evaluating and executing new business and growth opportunities. He/She will use national and local data and business intelligence to set operational standards and drive business optimization in new and innovative ways. The appointee will have a superior track record of developing and cultivating physician partnerships across the enterprise, and be an accomplished leader in the development of value-based care strategy at a system level. He/She will possess excellent communication skills, comfort with the creation and delivery of Board level presentations, a strong record of high achievement in physician recruitment, physician practice operations and employee engagement, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a matrixed organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Along with the CEO and in collaboration with the Chief Strategy Office and other system executives:
- Provide executive-level oversight to the physician organization
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to establish and maintain strong relationships with providers and network partners
- Evaluate new business opportunities for network expansion and execute growth strategies
- Use industry and network analytics to support network efficiency and performance optimization
- Help ensure the delivery of high-quality, value-based care to all patient populations throughout the network
- Serve as a key member of the team in negotiating payor contracts
- Serve as a key resource in physician recruitment and development of best practice physician compensation methodologies, and negotiating physician contracts
- Accountable for performance against all quality metrics as a component of the network’s value-based contracts
- Achieves high levels of physician and employee engagement
- Compliance-focused, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, policies and accreditation standards
Education and Experience:
- Graduate degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field
- A minimum of 10 years’ experience in progressive leadership roles in a multi-specialty group practice within an integrated health system. Experience working collaboratively with community-based providers is required.
- MGMA Practice Administration Certification is highly desirable
