Overview
Technology Services Group Inc. seeks Senior Vice President, Back-End Engineer in Pittsburgh, PA, to consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services or technical support for backed features and components. Scale the backend architecture and codebase to support growth. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field and nine (9) years of experience in the job offered or a related IT occupation. Nine (9) years of experience must include: Understanding interdependencies and business impact of future IT plans utilizing Jira, Confluence (technical documentation portal) and project management tools including Clear Commitment and JIRA to manage project and people dependencies across multiple divisions; Selecting and implementing vendor-specific methodologies including Agile Software development methodology, and consulting with structured methodologies including prototyping (proof-of-concept) new software ideas, incorporating agile methodologies and API based and test-driven development; Developing and supporting backend environments utilizing Git, GitLab, Docker, Splunk, Insomnia, and application deployment system; and Utilizing multi-platform development tools and toolkits with multiple programming languages including Java, SQL, Bash and technologies/frameworks including Spring, Junit, Mockito, JMS, IBM DB2, Sybase ASE, MongoDB, and tools including IntelliJ IDE, Git, Jira, Docker, GitLab, and Confluence. In the alternative, the Employer will accept a Master's degree and seven (7) years of experience in the above-stated skills. Employer will accept pre- or post- Master's degree experience.
