Job Details
Responsibilities
1. Manage a diverse caseload of complex litigation matters, including the preparation of pleadings, discovery, and pre-trial motions.
2. Represent clients in court proceedings, demonstrating excellent advocacy and trial skills.
3. Provide sound legal advice to clients, interpreting laws, rulings, and regulations for specific cases.
4. Develop and implement litigation strategies, in collaboration with other team members.
5. Conduct legal research and analyze case law, ensuring all arguments are thoroughly prepared and substantiated.
6. Negotiate settlements in alignment with client’s best interests.
7. Maintain professional relationships with clients, providing regular updates on case progress and potential outcomes.
8. Comply with all legal standards and regulations, ensuring all documentation and processes are legally sound.
9. Participate in business development activities, including networking events and client meetings, to expand the firm’s client base.
10. Mentor junior attorneys, providing guidance on complex litigation matters and trial procedures.
Qualifications
1. Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
2. A minimum of 3-6 years of complex litigation experience in a law firm.
3. Active member of the state bar in good standing.
4. Proven trial experience is a plus.
5. Exceptional analytical skills, with a strong ability to think strategically and analytically about legal issues.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex legal concepts clearly and effectively.
7. Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills, with a proven track record of achieving favorable outcomes for clients.
8. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, managing multiple cases simultaneously.
9. High level of professionalism and confidentiality, with a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
10. Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
