SUMMARY
The Senior Treasury Accounting Analyst, reporting to the Manager of Treasury, is responsible for managing key treasury accounting processes and supporting related treasury operations. This role is instrumental in driving process improvements, ensuring compliance with financial controls, and maintaining the organization's liquidity to support strategic objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Treasury Accounting and Reporting
Prepare and post cash transactions to the general ledger accurately and timely.
Perform account reconciliations for select accounts, ensuring proper documentation and communication with relevant teams.
Manage and maintain financial records, spreadsheets, and roll forwards.
Perform Bloomberg rate uploads and key information gathering.
Analyze and report on interest and debt activity, ensuring accuracy and relevance to organizational goals.
Investigate and resolve cash transaction issues promptly.
Ensure SOX compliance by maintaining process documentation, responding to audit requests, and resolving related queries.
Banking and Liquidity Management
Support the opening and closing of bank accounts, signer updates, and general bank account maintenance.
Maintain and strengthen bank relationships to optimize services and ensure alignment with company needs.
Strategic and Analytical Support
Prepare and analyze Supply Chain Finance and Counterparty reporting.
Contribute to Debt Compliance reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Provide analytical support for special projects and treasury workstation enhancements/initiatives.
Assist in process improvements to streamline treasury operations and align with best practices.
Team Collaboration and Knowledge Sharing
Organize and maintain files in the Treasury departmental directory for accuracy and accessibility.
Cross-train in other treasury processes to ensure seamless coverage of critical daily tasks.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in Treasury, Finance, or Accounting.
Strong knowledge of cash management principles, banking operations, and electronic transaction systems in a corporate environment.
Familiarity with the application or audit of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Proven ability to achieve results, solve complex problems, and adapt to changing priorities with ease.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills required. Experience with banking portals and treasury workstations is preferred.
Exceptional communication and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
