Senior Transmission Engineer from Innova Solutions

Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Senior Transmission Engineer.

As a Senior Transmission Engineer, you will:

• Plans, designs, and oversees construction of electric transmission lines.
• Analyzes existing transmission lines for conductor upgrades and communications cable additions.
• Research and studies new technologies, methods, and equipment.
• Drafts, finalizes, approves, accumulates, and issues drawings, material lists, manuals and schedules for construction and revises transmission records to reflect as-built conditions.
• Coordinates, schedules, and plans transmission project activities and provides technical support.
• Specifies, requisitions, and approves material for transmission projects.
• Develops, approves, and maintains material specifications and construction standards Develops design processes and procedures.
• Provides transmission project budget estimates and monthly spending projections.
• Writes construction contracts and manages contractors on projects.
• Estimates quantities and cost of materials, equipment, or labor to determine project feasibility.
• Uses SAP to determine project costs, order material and monitor project progress.
• Participates in routing & sitting projects.
• Supports COSA Civic Projects where transmission towers and/or lines are in conflict.
• Reviews encroachment requests for customers and developers.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering field from an ABET accredited four-year college or university.
• Professional Engineer (PE) in the State of Texas.
• Possesses and applies a broad knowledge of principles, practices, and procedures in this field to complete duties and assignments.
• Demonstrated mastery of engineering discipline skills Ability to lead cross-functional business initiatives and teams.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively handle a broad range of engineering assignments with minimum supervision.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams on internal projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage project costs, timeline, scope, and risks.
• Ability to effectively check work product for adequacy, quality, and accuracy.
• Effective communication skills focused on understanding customer needs and developing resolution.
• Strong people skills, with bias for a collaborative working style.
• Ability to work call duty and occasional unscheduled work in the evenings, weekends, or holidays after experience level permits.
• Ability to travel occasionally, to off-site work, to seminars, manufacturing plant inspections, etc.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Package, including word processing, spreadsheets, database, presentation software, electronic mail, and scheduling.

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $110k - $120k per annum.
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
