Senior Traffic Engineer - Insight Global

Job Description An employer is looking for a Sr. Traffic Engineer in the Everett, WA area. Under the direction of the City Traffic Engineer, this person will operate and manage the City's traffic signal system including development and optimization of signal timing plans, programming controllers, and directing maintenance activities. Work involves managing the planning, design, and construction of City traffic signal assets, providing professional traffic engineering review of road improvement plans for compliance with traffic engineering standards, as well as daily operational tasks related to planning and analysis for traffic operations. The position requires interaction with the public and the business community. Responsibilities also include providing technical supervision and advice to lower-level engineers or technicians on design and operational issues. Considerable independence is exercised, and work is reviewed based on the accuracy and utility of the finished product and the promptness with which operating deadlines are met.
