Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Senior Toolmaker with a strong affinity for high precision grinding. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of hands-on experience in toolmaking, demonstrating expertise in precision grinding techniques. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in producing top-quality tools, meeting tight tolerances, and ensuring superior surface finishes.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Apply advanced manual grinding techniques to deliver high precision tooling according to engineering specifications.
2. Use measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, comparators) with precision and accuracy to achieve required tolerances.
3. Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to tooling performance, implementing necessary adjustments and modifications as needed.
4. Uphold stringent safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times.
5. Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their skill development and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications:

1. Over 15 years of proven experience in toolmaking, demonstrating a track record of delivering exceptional quality work.
2. Expertise in high precision grinding techniques, encompassing surface grinding and cylindrical grinding.
3. Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, with a strong grasp of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
4. Mold making experience is preferred but not mandatory.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
6. Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
