Position Overview: We are seeking an accomplished Senior Toolmaker with a strong affinity for high precision grinding. The ideal candidate will bring over 15 years of hands-on experience in toolmaking, demonstrating expertise in precision grinding techniques. As part of our dedicated team, you will play a crucial role in producing top-quality tools, meeting tight tolerances, and ensuring superior surface finishes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced manual grinding techniques to deliver high precision tooling according to engineering specifications.
- Use measurement tools (micrometers, indicators, comparators) with precision and accuracy to achieve required tolerances.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues related to tooling performance, implementing necessary adjustments and modifications as needed.
- Uphold stringent safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment at all times.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members, fostering their skill development and knowledge sharing.
Qualifications:
- Over 15 years of proven experience in toolmaking, demonstrating a track record of delivering exceptional quality work.
- Expertise in high precision grinding techniques, encompassing surface grinding and cylindrical grinding.
- Proficient in interpreting technical drawings and blueprints, with a strong grasp of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
- Mold making experience is preferred but not mandatory.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
