Senior Test Engineer – System Test at Corning Inc

Corning Optical Communications LLC seeks Senior Test Engineer – System Test to work in Plano, Texas. Support system integration & end-to-end testing of 4G/5G/successive technology systems & related protocols; perform QA testing for Enterprise 4G & 5G RAN; define test plans & design automated test scripts to verify end-to-end system features & Wireless (4G/5G) protocol performance; work w/ teams to debug, reproduce, & identify root causes of system issues; support lab & field teams with issue analysis & bug resolutions; perform system characterization & validate products against specifications by collecting & processing system data; support interoperability testing w/ core networks & devices for carrier certification & customer acceptance. Up to 5% domestic & international travel. Bachelor’s in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related. 3yrs. exp. in QA test engineering; 3 yrs. exp. testing 4G/5G systems & related protocols; 2 yrs. exp. using common test tools & network equipment (i.e. sniffers, Core Network Emulators, Security Gateways, mobile phone loggers, analyzers, channel emulations, signal fader); exp. w/ call flows & other call processing procedures; using UE log analysis tools (i.e. QXM, XCAL/XCAP, Windcatcher); & exp. w/ open-RAN & related components (i.e. SMO, RIC, Open-RAN interfaces).
