Job Title: Senior Technical Writer

Responsibilities of the Senior Technical Writer:
EDC Consulting LLC (EDC) is seeking candidates for a Procurement Analyst role supporting the U.S. Army in Radford, VA. This position is Remote with occasional travel to government locations. This self-directed individual will possess both good technical writing skills and a solid information technology background.

The Senior Technical Writer will:

• Support writing requirements for all program divisions, including Services Management, Technical Management, Engineering & Cloud, Networks & Monitoring, Cybersecurity, Application Services, Asset Management, Business Management, and Command Office.
• Provide necessary writing, editing, and formatting of program documentation based on requirements and provided information. Typical documentation would include Style Guides, Customer service agreements, Service catalogs, Services briefs & marketing information, Standard operating procedures, technical instruction manuals, Diagrams and process flows, Army leadership and program customer briefs (Technical and Strategic), and IT system documentation.
• Interface closely with the various program divisions to determine documentation requirements.
• Review, develop and standardize documentation format and content across the program organization.
• Manage multiple assignments simultaneously, work independently and complete according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
• Create and manage electronic forms and document templates.

Qualifications:

• Masters Degree with 10+ years of hands-on experience or Bachelors Degree with 12+ years of hands-on experience in related field.
• Five years of experience in technical writing.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Excel.
• Experience with Microsoft SharePoint.
• Active Security Clearance
