Senior Tax Preparer - HumanHire

HumanHire is working with a large CPA firm with operations throughout the country to help them find a Sr. Tax Preparer who can join their team. This is a full-time, direct hire opportunity and the ideal fit will be someone who is an expert in preparing individual tax returns with a strong accounting foundation. This is a fully remote role and can sit anywhere within the United States.

Salary: Up to $150K (plus bonus opportunities, 401k match, full benefits, and more)

Working hours: Flexible, but preferably Monday-Friday, from 830AM-5PM

Responsibilities 

• Prepare and review federal and state tax returns for individuals and businesses, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax regulations.
• Returns can include individual, nonprofit, corporate, trust, and partnership tax
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and market trends to provide informed guidance to clients.
• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their financial situations and address any questions or concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to streamline processes and improve overall efficiency in tax preparation.

Qualification 

• At least 6+ years a Tax Preparer or in a similar role within public accounting.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations, accounting principles, and financial concepts.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software (Lacerte, CCH, ProSystemFX, etc.)
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple client accounts effectively.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with financial sales concepts is a plus.
