The Role
Senior Managers in our Commercial practice oversee multiple engagements for clients that range from multi-national corporations to early stage starts-ups.
Senior Managers can expect to:
- Engage in business development activities (i.e. prepare proposals; present in webinars, collaborate with other service lines to present a comprehensive tax strategy to prospective and current clients, etc.);
- Maintain communication with clients to ensure satisfaction, meet deadlines, remain current on legislative changes, and lead change effectively;
- Conduct primary and secondary review of complex tax returns – including federal and state filings;
- Provide ASC 740 tax provision support and review preparation;
- Supervise train, mentor, and evaluate Interns, Associates and Senior Associates; and
- Receive formal corporate tax training, on the job training, direct feedback from top tax leaders, and the opportunity to pursue additional training through internal and external resources.
Compensation and Benefits
Our firm offers competitive base compensation, benefits package, and a discretionary employee bonus program for eligible employees based on individual and firm performance metrics per the defined program guidelines. For individuals hired to work in Seattle, the expected salary range for this role is $134,500 to $218,900; the actual salary offer can vary based upon employee qualifications.

We offer paid time off, beginning at 160 hours annually and provides twelve paid holidays throughout the calendar year. Compensation: In addition to competitive base compensation, our firm offers annual discretionary bonuses based on firm and individual performance, a discretionary long-term cash incentive program, and other forms of discretionary compensation that would be offered to the hired applicant in addition to their established salary range scale.
The Requirements
- 6+ years relevant work experience in an accounting firm, with at least 5 years of Corporate Tax experience.
- Bachelor’s and/or advanced degree – Accounting, Economics, or related degree preferred (Preferred).
- Advanced credential allowing for client representation before the Internal Revenue Service required (i.e. CPA or JD);
- Self-starter with the initiative to seek out opportunities and ability to work successfully in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment; and
- Proficient use of technology.
