Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Lead the month-end close process, ensuring all financial statements are accurate and in compliance with GAAP.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to tax laws and regulations, and to identify any potential areas of improvement.
- Prepare comprehensive tax reports, including tax returns, balance sheets, and other related financial statements.
- Oversee the preparation of tax provisions and review complex income tax returns.
- Collaborate with the finance team to implement effective tax strategies that align with the company's business objectives.
- Liaise with tax authorities and provide tax audit support as required.
- Keep abreast of current changes in tax regulations and laws to ensure the company's compliance.
- Provide guidance and training to junior staff members, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Taxation or a related field will be considered an advantage.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a tax manager or similar role within a CPA firm.
- Proficient knowledge of tax accounting, tax compliance, and all types of tax returns.
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Proven experience with audit and review procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in using tax software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
