We are seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable Senior Tax Manager/VP of Tax to lead our tax planning and compliance efforts. The ideal candidate will bring a robust background in tax strategies for high-net-worth individuals, with a strong preference for expertise in trust and estate planning. This role involves close collaboration with our team of financial advisors, estate planners, and external partners to deliver integrated tax solutions that align with our clients' sophisticated financial landscapes.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement tax strategies tailored to high-net-worth clients, focusing on wealth preservation and tax minimization.
Provide leadership and oversight on all aspects of tax planning, compliance, and reporting.
Advise on complex tax matters related to investments, real estate, international taxation, and other areas relevant to our clients' diverse portfolios.
Collaborate with estate planners to integrate tax-efficient strategies into estate and trust planning.
Stay abreast of tax law changes and analyze their impact on clients, proactively adjusting strategies as needed.
Manage relationships with external tax advisors, accountants, and legal counsel to ensure comprehensive service delivery.
Lead, mentor, and develop internal tax team members.
Participate in client meetings and presentations, offering expert tax advice and answering sophisticated tax-related inquiries.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation strongly preferred.
CPA or equivalent certification required.
Minimum of 10 years of tax experience in wealth management, private banking, or similar environment, with a significant focus on high-net-worth individuals.
Expertise in trust and estate planning is highly desirable.
Deep understanding of the tax implications of various investment vehicles and strategies.
Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex tax laws into actionable advice.
Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, team members, and external partners.
