Responsibilities:
1. Leading and managing multiple tax engagements to deliver quality tax services for our high net worth clients.
2. Reviewing complex individual and corporate tax returns.
3. Developing and maintaining an understanding of tax laws and regulations, including the intricacies of GAAP.
4. Developing strong relationships with clients to improve client satisfaction and work with clients on business advisory needs.
5. Supervising, training, and mentoring junior staff and interns on tax projects.
6. Conducting primary and secondary review of complex income tax returns including federal and state filings.
7. Interacting with key client management to gather information, resolve tax-related issues, and make tax planning recommendations.
8. Generating new business opportunities by participating in market-facing activities and developing thought leadership materials.
9. Participating in professional development activities to improve leadership skills and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field. A Master's degree or CPA certification is highly preferred.
2. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or related field.
3. Proficient in corporate, individual, and business tax return preparation.
4. Strong experience in managing staff and leading engagements.
5. In-depth knowledge of GAAP and tax preparation.
6. Proven ability to manage a portfolio of high net worth clients.
7. Excellent leadership, organizational and verbal/written communication skills.
8. Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, deadlines and budgets.
9. Ability to successfully contribute to the success of a strategic business unit.
10. Proven high level of business integrity, client service and leadership skills.
