We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Tax Manager to join our fast-paced manufacturing industry. This position presents an exciting opportunity to lead and manage multiple tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. As a Senior Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax and financial planning, ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax law, and interacting with management and staff on tax matters. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in strategic tax planning and compliance.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of tax management including corporate tax, partnership tax, and international tax.
2. Prepare and review tax returns ensuring compliance with state, federal, and international tax laws.
3. Manage tax provision and tax compliance process.
4. Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices.
5. Manage and coordinate tax audits.
6. Maintain tax balances on general ledger.
7. Prepare all tax papers on regular basis and handle all information data requests.
8. Provide innovative tax planning and review of complex income tax returns.
9. Lead and coordinate ad-hoc tax-driven business initiatives.
10. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all tax obligations are met.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree in Taxation preferred.
2. Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification is required.
3. A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public accounting or corporate/public blend.
4. Comprehensive understanding of tax law/compliance.
5. Exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships.
6. Strong leadership and personnel management skills.
7. Analytical skills with detail orientation.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. Proficiency in tax software and technology.
10. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
