The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our corporate tax operations, ensuring compliance with tax laws, and implementing effective tax planning strategies. This is a high-impact role that will provide you with an opportunity to leverage your skills and expertise in tax accounting, financial management, and financial reporting to drive our financial success.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the corporate tax function to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
- Develop and implement effective tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities and maximize profitability.
- Prepare and review complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws.
- Conduct thorough financial analysis to identify potential tax implications and provide strategic recommendations.
- Collaborate with the finance team to prepare and present accurate financial reports.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations, and ensure the company is in compliance with all tax requirements.
- Provide expert tax advisory services to the management team, offering insights and recommendations to inform strategic decision-making.
- Manage relationships with external tax advisors and government tax authorities.
- Oversee and mentor junior tax staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree in Taxation or a related field is preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation is required.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a senior tax role, with a focus on corporate tax, tax compliance, and tax planning.
- Extensive knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply them in a business context.
- Proven experience in tax accounting, financial management, and financial reporting.
- Strong financial analysis skills, with the ability to assess complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations.
- Experience working with high net worth individuals (HNWI) is preferred.
- Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and develop junior staff.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex tax information to non-tax professionals.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
