POSITION: SENIOR TAX MANAGER
LOCATION: SAN FRANCISCO, CA.
WORK TYPE: FULL-TIME, ONSITE

With over 40 years in the industry, our client provides a wide range of tax services throughout multiple industries. Their primary focus has been with high-net-worth individuals and their corporations, real estate holdings, their related tax challenges, tax planning and tax preparation, stock options, and charitable donations/trusts. The variety of projects provides our team members with exposure to different challenges,helping them expand their skills and knowledge.

The structure of this firm is unique to the industry, as the professional staff consists of an equal split of accountants and lawyers. Professional development and career growth are high priorities, and cutting-edge tax software is used by all employees.

Please note that this is a full-time, onsite position. The firms office is located in the heart of the financial district in downtown San Francisco.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the preparation and filing of individual and corporate tax returns
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies to minimize tax liabilities for clients.
• Conduct research and stay up-to-date on tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance and
• Identify tax-savings opportunities
• Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness for tax purposes.
• Provide guidance and advice to clients on tax-related matters
• Supervise and mentor junior tax Associates
• Communicate effectively with clients, tax authorities, and other stakeholders

Qualifications:

• Bachelors/Masters Degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related field.
• CPA certification is required.
• 7+ years of experience in the preparation of individual and corporate taxes. Job hoppers will not be considered for this position.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be able to work well within all levels of the organization. Collaboration is a key piece to success at this firm.
• Proficient in tax preparation software
