Position Overview:
Extenet is seeking a highly skilled and strategic senior-level professional with a strong background in tax management and financial operations. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of tax compliance, financial operations, and tax strategy to ensure the company's financial success and compliance with tax regulations. Depending on experience, we are open to hiring someone at a senior manager or director level with a flexible part-time work schedule.

Responsibilities:
- Tax Strategy Development: Lead the development and execution of a comprehensive tax strategy to optimize the company’s tax position while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Compliance Oversight: Provide high-level oversight of tax compliance activities, including federal, state, and local tax filings, and manage relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Audit and Controversy Management: Coordinate and manage tax audits, responding to inquiries from tax authorities, and providing strategic guidance on non-recurring transactions and tax law changes.
- Financial Operations Leadership: Oversee critical financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Internal Policy Development: Guide the development of internal controls and processes to enhance financial and tax operations.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with senior executives, investors, and board members, providing insights into tax strategies and financial performance.
- Relationship Management: Maintain relationships with external auditors, consultants, and tax authorities to ensure effective collaboration and compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business is required, and an MBA is desired.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Tax Management, Finance, or related fields, in public accounting and a corporate environment.
- Experience working in an emerging growth company, as well as experience in a private equity or investor portfolio company, is required.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) designation is required.
Skills and Abilities:
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively at all levels of the organization and distill complex financial information into structured outputs.
- Leadership Skills: Proficient in providing tax related guidance to various departments and overseeing process improvements.
- Technology Proficiency: Proficient in using an ERP system for tax accounting and Microsoft Office (expert-level in Excel).
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Able to multitask in a fast-paced environment with fluctuating priorities and deadlines.
- Problem Resolution Skills: A problem-solving mentality, with the ability to leverage internal and external resources.
- Time Management Skills: The ability to work without direct supervision and efficiently manage tasks and time.

Work Schedule:
This role offers a flexible part-time schedule, with an estimated commitment of 20-25 hours per week, depending on workload and business needs. The position is remote to Frisco, TX, with occasional on-site meetings as required.
