We are seeking a Senior Tax Director and Managing Director of Tax for any of the locations below***
We are currently seeking a dynamic and highly-experienced Senior Tax Director to join our Advisory Practice in the Accounting + Finance industry. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to direct and manage multiple tax engagements and contribute to the delivery of innovative tax planning ideas for our diverse clients. The Senior Tax Director will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the tax department, providing tax compliance and consulting services to our clients, and developing our team members. This role can sit in any of their large cities (Philadelphia, New York, Boston, Raleigh, Tyson's Corner, Tampa or Denver). The position is 50% remote and 50% in-office/client services focused. This is an integral position, as the tax division within this advisory firm is newly developed, so someone with an entrepreneurial interest and passion for growth is key.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
As the Senior Tax Director, you will:
1. Lead and manage tax engagements to deliver quality tax solutions for our clients.
2. Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to understand their business and tax needs.
3. Conduct detailed tax research and planning to minimize tax liabilities and ensure compliance with tax regulations.
4. Prepare and review tax provisions, tax returns, and tax-related financial statements.
5. Provide expert advice on M&A tax implications and strategies.
6. Collaborate with other departments to implement tax strategies and ensure the integration of tax considerations into business operations.
7. Develop and mentor team members by providing constructive feedback and fostering a positive learning environment.
8. Stay updated with latest industry trends and tax laws to provide timely and accurate advice to clients.
Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree or CPA certification is highly desirable.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tax leadership role, preferably in an advisory practice.
3. Proven experience in tax planning, research, compliance, and provision.
4. Hands-on experience with M&A tax strategies and implementation.
5. Strong leadership and team management skills.
6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and team members.
8. Proficiency in tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
9. A deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws and regulations.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
