About the Role:
Seeking a results-oriented Senior Tax Associate to bolster our Houston team, focusing on tax compliance for manufacturing and distribution clients. The role demands a blend of project management, effective under pressure multitasking, and clear communication skills.
Job Details
Tax Compliance: Lead in the preparation of federal and state tax returns, with an emphasis on corporate compliance.
Tax Research: Conduct in-depth tax research across various domains including federal, state, and international issues.
ASC 740: Assist in the preparation of corporate income tax provisions.
Client Service: Deliver exceptional service that surpasses client expectations, maintaining open and clear communication.
Documentation: Prepare comprehensive work papers and communications with clarity and precision.
Experience: Minimum 3 years in federal and state tax compliance, with public accounting experience.
Education: BA/BS in Accounting or a Master’s in Accounting/Taxation.
Certification: CPA or equivalent preferred.
Skills: Exceptional research, writing, and communication capabilities, analytical and problem-solving skills, and strong organizational ability.
Attitude: A positive, team-oriented mindset.
Industry Experience: Prior work in the manufacturing and distribution sector.
Software Proficiency: Experience with CCH Axcess.
