The Senior Tax Analyst is a strategic business partner responsible for ensuring tax compliance and optimizing tax efficiency across the global organization. This role involves leading tax provision calculations, managing diverse tax compliance activities, and support innovative tax planning initiatives. This role will have significant impact mitigating tax risks and maximizing tax benefits across our global organization.
What You Will Do At Graco
- Prepare interim and annual global tax provision calculations, including using complex accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Play a key role in supporting tax aspects of facilitating mergers and acquisitions.
- Monitor the implementation of OECD Pillar 2 initiatives to assess the potential tax impact on the company and aid in the preparation of calculations and reporting requirements.
- Prepare all U.S. federal, state and local income tax returns and quarterly estimates.
- Promote accurate and timely reporting of tax information utilizing data analytics and technology resources.
- Assist in federal and state income tax audits and respond to notices issued by federal, state and local taxing jurisdictions
- Serve as a resource to multiple business units on tax-related issues.
- Analyze and interpret federal and state tax laws/regulations while correctly applying the impact to Graco.
- Support the maintenance of tax accounting policies and procedures related to the execution of SOX controls.
- Other tax-related duties as assigned.
What You Will Bring To Graco
- Bachelor's degree in tax, accounting, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience of public accounting or corporate income tax accounting.
- Strong project management skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of GAAP principles and tax reporting standards, and experience in their application.
- Skilled in independent tax research and ability to apply knowledge of fundamental tax accounting concepts, practices, and procedures to everyday business activities.
Accelerators
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
- Experience with automated tax processing platforms (Alteryx).
- Experience with data visualization platforms (Power BI).
- Proficient with Onesource, Oracle, Excel and Microsoft Office.
