Senior Tax Analyst (Investment Partnership)– Venture Capital – Boston, MA
We are seeking candidates for a Senior Tax Analyst position with a highly successful venture capital firm located in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in tax with a strong focus on partnership taxation, experience with K-1s is a must.
This is a 3-month contract position that will pay $80-90/hr within a 20–30-hour work week. Qualified candidates who are 100% remote located on EST will be considered.

We are seeking candidates for a Senior Tax Analyst position with a highly successful venture capital firm located in Boston, MA. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience in tax with a strong focus on partnership taxation, experience with K-1s is a must.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth reviews of partnership tax returns (K-1s) for accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations
- Analyze complex tax issues specific to VC investments, such as stock options, carried interest, and various entity structures
- Prepare and review 1065, 1120, 5471, 8865, 8621, and 1042-S
- Prepare detailed tax memoranda and reports, clearly communicating findings and potential tax implications
- Assist with research and analysis to identify and implement tax optimization strategies for the firm and its portfolio companies
- Maintain strong working relationships with portfolio companies, external tax advisors, and internal stakeholders (finance, accounting)
- Stay current on relevant tax laws and regulations impacting VC partnerships
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 8+ years of experience in tax, with a strong focus on partnership taxation (experience with K-1s a must)
- Proven ability to analyze complex tax information and identify potential issues
- Excellent research and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex tax concepts in a clear and concise manner
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and tax research databases
