Senior Tax Analyst - Intertek USA Inc

Intertek is searching for a Senior Tax Analyst to join our Finance team based from our Houston, Texas office. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in FP&A!

The Senior Tax Analyst is responsible for completion of all phases of corporate income tax return preparation.

What you'll do:

• Prepare federal income tax returns (proforma) and assist with the preparation of the consolidated federal tax returns (Form 1120).
• Prepare separate & unitary state income tax returns.
• Prepare and reconcile tax depreciation calculations, gain & loss calculations with asset roll forwards.
• Prepare and assist with mid-year and annual tax provisions in compliance with ASC 740.
• Prepare and assist with US international tax calculations and workpapers including BEAT, GILTI, FDII, 5471s, 5472, 8858s, 5713, etc.
• Prepare and assist with extensions and quarterly estimated federal and state tax payments.
• Respond to notices from tax authorities and tax audits.
• Assist with various special projects or tasks as assigned.

What it takes to be successful in this role:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting required. A master's degree or/and CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 4 to 5 years US federal and state tax compliance experience
• International Tax experience a plus
• Demonstrated analytical, research and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have experience using Excel, Word, OneSource Income Tax and RIA Checkpoint. Familiarity with PeopleSoft a plus.
• Proven ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines independently.
