Senior Tax Analyst - Pursuit Collection

What will be your daily pursuit?:

This position, which reports to the Senior Tax Manager, plays a critical role within the Tax Department and Finance Team.  This position is responsible for working directly with the Senior Tax Manager, Vice President of Tax, and other members of the Finance Team.  In this capacity, the successful candidate will have the opportunity to prepare federal and state income tax returns and ASC 740 tax provision calculations in addition to being involved with other key functions of the Tax Department.

What will your compensation be?:

The salary range for this role is $95,000/year to $110,000/year. Pursuit offers a full suite of benefits, including discounts at our hotels, restaurants, and attractions, flexible time off, and a 401k contribution matching plan. 

What will you do in this job?:

• Play a key role in preparing federal and state income tax returns, estimated tax payments, and extensions.
• Manage tax calendar to ensure all deadlines are met in a timely fashion.
• Assist in preparing the calculation of the domestic and international tax provision (ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes) including the analysis of deferred tax assets and liabilities.
• Assist in the preparation of tax disclosures for financial statement purposes.
• Assist with sales and use tax and property tax compliance.
• Interact with cross functional teams and develop relationships to ensure that both Tax Department and Operational needs are met.

 

What skills and experience do you need for this job?:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. Master’s degree in taxation a plus.
• CPA or CPA candidate
• 3 – 5 years of relevant experience with a Big Four or other large public accounting firm
• Working knowledge and experience with federal and state tax matters
• Strong accounting experience and desire to enhance understanding of ASC 740 – Accounting for Income Taxes
• Strong Excel skills
• An understanding of ERP systems
• Ambition and a strong work ethic
• Ability to learn and understand the processes in place and recommend improvements
• Ability to take direction, communicate effectively, and work collaboratively with peers and management.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with preparing federal and state income tax returns and income tax provisions, research, and strategic analysis
• Experience with ONESOURCE Income Tax software
